Zwane Not Worried On Chances Missed

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane is not too much worried about the chances that his strikers couldn’t convert against AmaZulu at FNB stadium.

Amakhosi came from behind to play 1-1 stalemate against AmaZulu in their first leg MTN8 semi-final. The visiting team went 10-men early in the second half after Veluyeke Zulu get a second yellow card.

Ashley Du Preez had a chance to give Chiefs the equaliser his shot went over the crossbar. Bimenyimana, also had a chance to score his third goal at Soweto giants from a close range but, the centre forward couldn’t capitalise.

However, Zwane is not too concerned about the chances his club missed says they will go back and fix their finishing.

“Not really, a game of football you create chances you know and score… it’s a game of mistakes, it’s a game that teaches you to rectify your mistakes,” Zwane said in the post-match press conference at FNB Stadium.

“We’re obviously going to go back to training and polish our finishing because like you said, had we taken the opportunities we created today, it could’ve been a different ball game altogether going into the second leg.

“So we’re going dig even deeper to score goals in Durban, but the way they [the players] exerted themselves, I think they gave their all, it’s worse when you get on to the field and you don’t create those chances at all.

“So the created space, running into the right places at the right times, it was just execution that let us down. But the keeper [Veli Mothwa] made some good saves as well.

“As I’ve said before I think we’re on the right track and I’m not going to press the panic buttons because we missed chances today. We created a lot of chances and we’ll work on it, we’ll come back and come back very strong.”

The Glamour Boys will play four league matches before they play second leg in Durban 23 October at Moses Mabhida stadium.
