Motaung: Njabulo Blom is going nowhere
Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has made it clear that Njabulo Blom will stay at the despite his contract coming to an end at the end of the season.
Blom comes from Amakhosi development and made his first appearance for the club in October 2019 under Ernest Middendorp against Golden Arrows.
The defensive midfielder became a regular starter at the club under Gavin Hunt and Stuart Baxter who used him as a right back sometimes.
It’s not a secret that talks between the player agent and the club have hit a snag, but the football manager at the club states that the player is not leaving the team.
“Njabulo Blom is going nowhere, he’s staying with us,” said Motaung on Ukhozi FM.
“His matter we are sorting it and we are sorting this matter without noise, without agents who are talking in big English.
Motaung has involved Blom’s family to extend the contract of their son. And, they’re willing to release him if there’s good contract from overseas.
“We as a club are sorting this matter with his parents to say ‘the boy is coming from our development structures and he’s going nowhere’.
“Unless there’s an offer overseas and the offer is good for him and the club is happy with that offer, then we won’t stand in his way, we’d let him go. As it is now, he’s a Kaizer Chiefs player and he’s here with us.”
The 22-year-old made 87 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs since his promotion from the development team in 2019 and made it to the CAF Champions League final against Al Ahly where they lost 3-0.
