Confirmed: MTN8 Semifinals Dates Announced

MTN8 Semi-final dates and venues have been confirmed and will take place early next month after FIFA week.

On-form Orlando Pirates will welcome the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on the first of October at Orlando stadium.

The Buccaneers have beaten Royal AM 2-1 away from home in quarterfinals of the tournament last month.

Pirates are in fine position currently under new Spanish coach Jose Riveiro who only lost two matches in all competitions.

The Soweto Giants will welcome AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida stadium for their first leg semester-finals. Kaizer Chiefs won’t be able to use FNB stadium because of the event that’s set to take next month.

In other words, Amakhosi and Usuthu will play both semifinals legs against each other at Moses Mabhida stadium on the second of October and 23 October.

Another team that won’t be using their usual home ground is Masandawana. Mamelodi Sundowns will use New Peter Mokaba stadium when they face Pirates on the 22 of October.
