Agent confirms Kaizer Chiefs-Njabulo Blom contract talks breakdown

  Kaizer Chiefs and Njabulo Blom agent are currently failing to come to terms with the renewal of the new contract for the player.  Blom is a Kaizer Chiefs development product that got promoted in 2019 and signed four years contract with Amakhosi and has been a regular starter under coach Gavin Hunt and Stuart Baxter for the past two seasons. His agent (Rob Moore) is not satisfied with the amount of money his player get compared to his teammates, and stated that the player wants to negotiate based on what he has achieved. “Blom earns less than a lot of players in the Kaizer Chiefs starting 11 and he has proven himself and paid his dues. He now wants to negotiate based on what he has achieved," Rob Moore told Andile Ncube. “I like to think we don’t suck numbers out of our thumbs when it’s comes to our players. Pirates Face MTN8 Defending Champions In Semis

  Orlando Pirates will face the defending champions of MTN8 Mamelodi Sundowns in the Semifinals. The Buccaneers have beaten Royal AM 2 - 1 away from home in an encounter that ended with their midfielder maestro Goodman Mosele getting a red card. Pirates are still unbeaten under the new coach Jose Riveiro in all competitions. Having won five matches and drew two in all competitions. The Sea Robbers will host Masandawana at Orlando stadium in the first leg of the semifinals before they visit Mamelodi Sundowns in the second leg. On the other hand, Kaizer Chiefs will host AmaZulu in the first leg of the semifinals. The Glamour Boys had a tough game against Stellies in a sold out Danie Craven Stadium. Chiefs skipper Itumeleng Khune was the hero after saving two penalties to help his team to progress to the next round of the competition. Dates and venues for both matches are yet to be confirmed.

  Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena was pleased with some of his players performance last night against SuperSport United. Bafana Ba Style came out with a 2-0 victory over SuperSport United in a completely dominant performance at TUKS Stadium on Sunday evening.  The Brazilians had several chances from the first half, however United’s solid defense only crumbled in the second half, Coach Rulani projected his joy in a media briefing after the triumph. “Congratulations to the entire football club and to the players for winning a very difficult match. We needed to run, we needed to stay patient, we knew that there’d be a very resolute block but we did very, very well. We played without anxiety, we gave our best which is very, very good and congratulations to the technical team on a good win, a very important win,” says Rulani Mokwena after the match. Soweto Giants And Defending Champions Progress To MTN8 Semifinals.

  Record winners Kaizer Chiefs and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns progressed to the 2022 MTN8 semifinals after securing wins on Sunday. Chiefs, who are 15-time MTN8 champions, showed character as they came from behind to defeat Stellenbosch FC 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in a quarterfinal match at the Danie Craven Stadium. Sihle Nduli opened the scoring to hand Stellies, but Ashley du Preez scored to level matters for Amakhosi who went on to win 4-3 on penalties with Itumeleng Khune being the hero in the penalty shootout. Meanwhile, Sundowns produced a strong second-half display in their 2-0 victory over their city rivals SuperSport United in a Tshwane Derby match which was played at the Tuks Stadium. Masandawana's two goals were netted by Marcelo Allende and Abubeker Nasir who were both introduced in the second-half and they proved to be inspired substitutes for the DStv Premiership champions in a quarterfinal clash. Chiefs and Sundowns joined AmaZulu FC and Orlan
