Baxter respond to Chiefs fans
Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has responded to fans who want him to step down as the head coach after the defeat of Supersport United at FNB stadium.
On Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs played in front of their fans for the first time since 2020 due to Covid-19 lockdown regulations but, the results didn’t go their way.
Fans were left frustrated after Amakhosi dominated the match but failed to score goals at their home ground. After the match Chiefs fans didn’t waste time on booing Baxter who lost his sixth league match since his second spell at the club.
However, Baxter made a bold statement that he’s the only coach who has given the club a success in the last 20 years.
“I’m the only coach that has given this club any success in the last 20 years, but I’ve got to go because we dominate the game and lose 1 - 0? I’ve got to listen to that? It’s okay, they’re fans, they have the right to say exactly what they want,” he said.
The Glamour boys will finish another season without a trophy, but have a chances to play CAF Champions League competition next season.
