Sundowns sign Teboho Mokoena




Mamelodi Sundowns has finally find the signature of Teboho Mokoena from Supersport United after attracting rivals in the league and few clubs in Europe .


The two Tshwane teams have agreed terms  for permanent move with immediate effect. Mokoena contract with Matsatsantsa was set to expire in June 2022. 


“Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns have agreed terms for the permanent move of Bafana Bafana midfielder Teboho Mokoena with immediate effect for an undisclosed fee.” Supersport United statement.


Mokoena  has signed a three and half year contract with an option to extend at Chloorkop. 


The Bethlehem born has played 156 matches for Supersport United in all competitions since he was promoted to the first team. And, he hold 15 caps for Bafana Bafana after making his debut in, March 2018.


Furthermore, Supersport United CEO Stanley Matthews describe the 25 year old midfielder as someone who constantly delivered off and on the field.


“Teboho has served the club with distinction since joining us in his mid teens. He has helped us win four major trophies and has consistently delivered on and off the field of play, which is why our chairman Kahului Sibiya gave his blessing for this move,” said Matthews. 


Masandawana are still yet to confirm which jersey number Mokoena will wear.
