Chippa United unveil Ace.

Chippa United have announce the signing of midfielder, Oupa Manyisa. The experience midfielder will be at the club until the end of this current 2020/21 South African domestic football season, with an option of one year extension.

Manyisa is one of the decorated players carrying 31 international caps for Bafana Bafana, and won the league three times. He was signed by newly-promoted TTM at the start of this season but a dispute with the club over his contract means he never kicked a ball for them.

“I am elated to have a player of Oupa's talent and experience joining us, he will have an integral role in this team as we head to the last stretch of the season with the league and the Nedbank Cup. We do have a tough schedule with back-to-back fixtures and we are aiming at finishing strong in our remaining matches,” coach Dan Malesela said.

“With captain Andile Mbenyane also still recovering from his groin injury, Oupa will provide the experience that this team needs alongside the likes of Anthony Laffor, Freddy Nsambiyumva and Kurt Lentjies are able to provide.”

The 32-year-old Manyisa has not played in 18 months since he turned out for Sundowns in August 2019. However, the former Orlando Pirates captain is available for selection as the Chilli Boys resume the DStv premiership campaign against Maritzburg United on Saturday.
